Muskox Photography Tour in Northern Canada
Join Michael's small group of just five photographers for this exclusive Muskox Photography Tour. It is an unforgettable opportunity in the far reaches of Canada's Northern Arctic to photograph and experience Muskox. Nunavik, located on the Ungava Peninsula offers sensational Muskox Photography. Picture sweeping backgrounds painted with fall tundra colours . Beautiful billowing winter coats with iconic curled horns make this Muskox photography tour something extraordinary. This is also the best time of the year to witness the mature male muskox in rut. Watch the dramatic action of large male Muskox chasing and head butting for dominance.
Equipment Recommendations
Your
most used focal length will be in the range of 400 to 600mm. A wide angle
lens for the aurora & landscapes. If possible bring 2
camera bodies and a light tripod.
Other Considerations
Medium level of fitness is required. If you have trouble walking this is not the trip for you.
Be prepared to step in and out of a boat onto rocks or wet ground. Muskox could be a 10 minute walk from the camp or the boat. But be prepared for much longer hikes up to 10 km round trip wearing a good pair of rubber boots.
